Established in 1934 along the 'Old Raritan' in Edison, NJ, the Raritan River Boat Club has provided endless hours of enjoyment for its members and thier guests. The boat club has always been owned and operated by its senior membership, with all members participating and contributing towards ongoing sucessfull operations.
Nealry a century ago, our founders established a Constitution and By Laws that govern the clubs operations, and are maintained today at membership meetings following Roberts Rules of Order. This self-governance ensures that the club can operate in perpetuity; changing with the times to meet the needs of the membership, boating community, and our changing environment.

The health of our organization requires a diverse community of members who actively participate in the club's operations, bringing a wide range of specialties and skills to assist in the work of maintaining and improving our facilities. New members are always welcome if they meet the criteria of being part of the boating community and are highly motivated to contribute and participate in the clubs activities and workload.

Club members volunteer to organize several social events throughout the calendar year. Club openings, hostings, poker runs, and closings are regularly scheduled and proivde a day of fun activities for our members and guests. Holidays such as Christmans, Thanksgiving, and Independence Day are celebrated with food and entertainment. Socials are organized with live entertainment. During Winter months, members cook Sunday Breakfasts to provide a social gathering and to raise money for the club's budget.

The Raritan River Boat Club maintains a large floating dock system with over sixty boat slips and an array of seasonal jet ski berths. While many members maintain slips for their vessels, others choose to leave their boats on trailers on-site or off, using the boat ramp as needed. Each year the dock system is lifted out of the river and stacked on shore by club members to ensure that there is no damage caused by Winter ice in the river.
In order to be elligible for slips and membership, members must accumulate points by volunteering at the club. Members can participate on one of our many committees and volunteer for work parties or social events.

At the Raritan River Boat Club, we maintain a clubhouse which provides a meeting hall complete with galley and licensed bar which supports our many social events as well as hall rentals for our members. There are no employees or staff at our club. All facilities to include the clubhouse bar, tiki bar, and galley are staffed by volunteer club members. Each member in good standing has full access to utilize the club facilities with their families and guests.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
