At the turn of the 19th century, the site of the current Raritan River Boat Club was a popular swimming and vacationing area. Those who lived in the New York Metropolitan area would travel to the more rural areas during the summer to escape the heat.

Easily accessible in Central New Jersey, the RRBC is the home port for up to 100 club members who enjoy the club’s amenities and facilities, cruise on the Raritan River, or venture out into the bay area for some salt water fishing or cruises to New York City, Sandy Hook, and beyond.
